Transcription: The approach to making an addition to this house by Susan Maxman is the diametric opposite to the Goldberg Bean House by Frank Israel. Maxman and her client opted to make a seamless addition to a rather mundane suburban house by treating both the old and the new as one idea. By contrast, Israel and his client opted to create a dialogue of ideas between the original house and the addition. Clearly the tastes of the clients and the respective neighborhoods of these two contributed to the nature of the solution.
